I was never taught.

I wasn't taught how to get work.
But I can remember why Hitler's a jerk.
I was never taught how to vote,
But I can define the different isotopes.
I was never taught how to look after my health,
But mitochondria is the powerhouse of a cell.
I was never taught the laws for the country I live in,
But I know how Henry the 8th killed his women
Divorced beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived
I'm glad that's in my head instead of financial advice.
I can't identify the most deadly mental disorders
Or how to calculate the cost of a mortgage,
Or whether or not I can even afford it,
Because abstract math was deemed more important
Never learned how or the cost of raising a kid
But I can tell you what a quadratic equation is,
-B plus or minus the square root
of C, minus 4ac squared over 2a
That's insane, that's absolutely insane,
I was made to learn that of basic child aid
I went through sex ed, but I believe its the wrong one
all this advice for using a condom but none for raising
a kid when you actually want one.
But I won't take it, I'll tell everyone my childhood
was wasted, and let them know why I'm irritated
