I Weep For My Brother

I weep for my brother, you weep for your son.
The choices he made cannot be undone.
Our family is together, missing but one.
The one that is missing is your youngest son.
We all tried to help. We tried to persuade,
we told him of places to get aide.
I want to know why he chose not to try,
but all I can do is sit here and cry.
It doesn't seem right, it doesn't seem fair.
I find myself asking, did God even care?
He said he wanted to feel safe. He wanted to go home.
God called for him so he wouldn't be alone.
He played his ace of the cards he was dealt.
Now he doesn't have to feel the pain that he felt.
Our family chain is broken, my brother is gone.
He would want us to move forward, he would want us to
"Raider on!"
