I Will Miss

I will miss the sun on my face
In the mornings, when I awake
I will miss the Starlings fluttering
above in the attic, waking me
I will miss the Sun dancing across
the spider web in the window
I will miss my dog's whine
telling me to feed the goats
I will miss the omelets
bacon and egg swirled together
I will miss the mornings dew
cold, wet, steamy according to the weather
I will miss the goats calling
"We're hungry! We want oats!"
I will miss practicing violin
With my brother, jousting with our bows
I will miss playing outside
The ball bouncing rhythmically
I will miss reading at night
praying, then sleeping till daybreak
I will miss home.
