I will remember you ...
When my hair is brittle and silver,
When my wrinkles hug my tired eyes,
When my laugh lines show
Even though I'm not laughing.

I will remember you ...
When my body is fragile and weak,
When my skin is paper-thin and covered in veins,
When my hands are old and gnarled
And my feet are swollen and sore.

I will remember you ...
When my teeth fall out,
When my sight is blurry,
When my speech is slurred
And my memory is lost.

I will remember you ...
