I WISH I COULD


I WISH I COULD

I wish I could-
Stand by what I really feel inspite of no appreciation from behind,
And I grew up!

To see cajolery spreading everywhere without a sigh,
To understand that real you is not what people see,
I wish I could-

Talk with crowds and keep my virtue,
If I can meet with Triumph and Disaster, and treat those two impostors just the same;
And I grew up!

To be more mature than ever I was,
To be more kind-hearted than ever before.
I wish I could-

Hold the time to be a child again,
To be in my mother's arm away from this unreal realm;
And I grew up!

To dream and make my dreams real,
To think and make my thoughts more progressive,
To trust my inner self when everyone beguile.
I wish I could-
