I wish you there

Today, today of all days.
I may have realized that maybe, just maybe,
There will be that day, the day…
The special day,
That you will not be able to walk with me,
That you may not be there to give me way,
That I will not be able to give you the joy you once had,
By sharing that moment, the one moment,
You got to share with your always loved ones, once in a life time only moment.
And I cried myself to sleep,
Wishing that moment would happen soon,
As soon as I never wished before,
So that you could be there,
So that you could be present,
Hand in hand, holding me like so many times before.
And with the certainty that moments like those may not repeat,
Moments like those may not be anything but a dream,
Nothing but a vague memory,
Of a full moon, that takes place every once a month,
That simply forget how rare we get to actually appreciate it.
