I Won.

Heart pounding.
Hands sweating.
Eyes shifting,
Away from you.

You look at me.
I look at the ground.
You wait for a smile
But I wear a frown.

Not happy to see you.
It’s all disgust now.
I act like you don’t exist
As you try to find friends.

I will admit the time was fun
But i’m grown up now.
The adolescent years are over
I’m not invincible anymore.

My heart turned cold.
As did yours.
I’m finished with the race
To see who forgets who first.
Because I won.
