Ice Angel

There was ice in your eyes,
Snowflakes slowly falling.
You flew through the skies
When you heard me calling.

With icicle-like fingertips
You brushed along my cheek.
You put one finger to my lips
And whispered not to speak.

Chills raced down my spine,
As you gave me a frozen kiss.
Tears caused my eyes to shine,
As you melted into the abyss.

I'll suffer to do as I was told,
I'll wait for you on icy shores.
I won't let my heart grow cold,
And I'll melt the frost from yours.
