Idealization

I haven’t heard from you in awhile
I wish I could see your comforting smile
I miss when you still held me close
A friendship crucial and grandiose
Do you ever wonder how I’m feeling?
On darker days you’d lift me higher
Than the burning of the fire
I never thought you could do wrong
With you I could be strong
I faced life and all it’s tragedy
Because I knew you were with me
But life changes and you faded
You fell out of my life
I didn’t know where to turn
I never ever learn
How to be strong and stand alone
Your absence burns my bones
I’m descending into the fire
I’m weak without your compassion
Worthless without your affirmation
I’m sick of being alone
