If

If [I had] one thing I could do,
You know it's [to] be there with you.

I have truths, and I have lies,
None of which my heart defies.

If [I had] one thing I could show,
It'd be [the] love my heart has stowed.

You're my love, you're my life,
You'll be [the] husband, I'll be [the] wife.

If [I had] one thing I could leave,
It's the world, to get some peace.

Give my life, give me death,
I don't want [to breathe] another breath.

My love for you, it's hard to bare,
Knowing now, you never cared.

I looked for you when I was lost,
Yet, look at all the lines you've crossed.

You gave me hell, you sinned my soul,
The knife of life [you said I had], was rather oddly dull.

You sacrafised the care I was to give,
Just so that I wouldn't [wanna] live.

Now I look up to the sky,
"Will I live?," "Will I die?"

I cry myself to sleep some nights,
Knowing just how hard I've tried.

To make you happy, [to] make you smile,
If only you actually would once [in] a while.

If [I had] one thing I could do,
If [I had] one thing I could show,
If [I had] one thing I could leave,

[I'd] let you through,
[I'd] let you know,
[I'd] let you [try to] believe.

If you knew,
If you leave,
If you cease to shine my dreams.

I couldn't do [anything],
I couldn't show [anything],
I couldn't leave [anything].

You'd be gone, I did it wrong,
This I figured all along,
Which is why I must be strong....
