If I Could Fly

If I could fly like a bird I would find refuge
in the clouds, I would rid my wings of the earths dust.

My days are only rainy if I wish, my home would be a
tree top or a cliff.

winter to summer are only wing beats away, dark
nights can so quickly turn to day.

My wings would grow weary from travelling around,
I would rest on trees, rocks any objects far from the ground.

I would live in harmony with my featherly pears, as we travel
across countries end to end, year to year.

If I could fly like a bird, I wish! I could sing
like a bird.
