If I Could Say One Thing

Passive aggressive cowardice
folded into manipulation
and spoon fed slowly with sentiment
that corrupts the logic in my soul -
Confounded by the outward appearance
of loyalty as it dissolves in your caustic fear.
The impact of mendacity spewed by your tongue
concealed by guilt and misdirection is extravagant -
Seeping into my heart like a toxin
slowly perverting my understanding of love.
Cradled by your twisted arms
as they thrust the knife deeper into the flesh of my back ""
I feel the percussion of your rapid heart beat
as the warmth of your bosom conceals the truth behind it.
