if i were a boy

sometimes i wish i were a boy
i wish i could walk around & feel safe
sometimes i wish i were a boy
so i wouldn’t be so scared anymore
sometimes i wish i were a boy
so i could flip my hair & watch all the girls stare
sometimes i wish i were a boy
so i could feel more respected
so my ideas would be more listened too
sometimes i wish i were a boy
however
if i were a boy
i wouldn’t want to be feared by women
if i were a boy
i wouldn’t want to be to blamed for the stereotype of immaturity
if i were boy
i wouldn’t want to be scared to cry
i could go on and on about
if i were a boy
or
i wish i was a boy
the truth is no gender is “easier”
women have a right to be scared in the nights
however
not all men should be to blame
