If I Were Rich

If one day I woke up rich I’d want to change the world.
There would be food, clothes and shelter for little boys and girls.
Single mothers wouldn’t struggle, little children wouldn’t weep-- watching mom and daddy argue over bills due last week.
There’d be no foreclosed homes and families forced out on the street.
And every honored veteran would have a comfy place to sleep.
Healthcare would be afforded, women could enjoy equal rights...and minorities wouldn’t be afraid to go to the store at night. If I were rich.
