If I Were Superhuman

I’d jump over the Moon
Just to see the World from a different view
These scars on my heart would no longer show
I’d float above all the pain I know
If I were Superhuman,
I could do this all…
A beautiful poem in one stanza,
The Sun relented to be a star
Every night, this cross wouldn’t burn
Painted so beautifully on my left wrist
Lines to follow, places to cut
“Wait a minute,” God said
I chose to keep going
At nighttime, I die and die again
Until I remember my savior
Whispering in my ear,
“You are Superhuman”
My pain shines as bright as the stars,
And every night, I survive anyway
