If only
If only the buck knew that it would have been eaten by the lion.,
If only the ant knew that it would have been eaten by the lizard.,
Maybe it would not have died and
It would not have quivered.
If only the women knew that she would have her feelings awoken,
Just to find herself heartbroken.
For she is the buck
Not dead, but not living
Paralyzed, but heart still beating.
Yet the lion continues to hunt.
As though it did not destroy the life of a buck.
If only men were fair
Then women would not have to feel so much despair.
