If Only I Could Make A Ladder

If only I could make a ladder and climb to heaven,
and bring you down, only to sit once more on the
old screen porch, listening to the birds chirping, and
taking in all beauty's nature, while telling our
stories over, and over, as the sun sets, and the moon
and stars come out to shine, as we sit and reminisce
together about all of our old times, hard lessons
learned, fun, and silly times, what I wouldn't give to
have that time to be together, sharing our love, and
laughs once more, where the day never ends, and the
joys are endless.
For now we are like a chain link fence with a missing
link, but one day the link will be fixed, then we can
get back to reminiscing.
