If Trees Were Purple

What if trees were purple not green
Would life be different, I mean?
Would it be brighter in ideas and form
Or the same as when green is the norm?

We see what we want and react
All is not a matter of fact
We see good, bad or ugly
And respond to it accordingly

We'll empathize or condemn
We'll understand or amend
Fear difference or learn acceptance
Criticize or offer assistance

Green, purple, blue, or pink
It wouldn't change how we think
Life would be the same as now
We'd see the world as we know how
