I’ll Be Waiting

Don't be sad for me because I've died.
Today I have a new life on the other side.
The pain in my body is no more.
It quit as soon as I walked through that door.
Heaven is just what I thought it would be.
I can't wait for the time when you all can see.
My Momma has yet to let go of my hand.
My Daddy can't wait to show me the lay of the land.
My brother is coming from the fishing pond,
with a little boy on his hip.
My sisters are busy setting a table,
with teacups for us to sip.
So please look past the sorrow and the pain.
Just imagine what I had to gain.
My God was not kidding
when he said this place was great!
Until you all join me,
I'll just sit and wait.
