I’ll Wait

Why does my house
not feel like home
It's been a few days
I've been sitting alone

The chirping of the birds
is not familiar anymore
The color of the sky
Looks duller than before

The photos on the walls
Are not enough to give hope
I want to run away
But I'm held by the ropes

I sit like a mannequin
Not knowing how to feel
And while embracing the pain
I've forgotten how to heal

Why did you leave me here
In this world, you used to adore
I know that I've lost you forever
But just like every night
I'll wait, I'll wait at the door
