ILLUSORY LIGHT

The ignorant man
Who lives in the dark pit,
Is yearning to see
The sparkle of aurora.

As there isn’t even a glint,
He seeks satisfaction
In imaginary gleam,
Forgetting, it’s not real.

He describes to others
Who are also in the same pit,
In brilliant terms,
The glory of that light.

Since there is no light,
Is there any meaning
In seeking solace in
Illusory light?
