I’m a Cigarette

I'm a cigarette
Light me, and watch me burn
Use me, until there's nothing left
Throw me to the curb when you're done
There's always another you can grab

Let me take away your pains
With my ember glowing warm
Let me take you from your sorrows
Manipulate me as you please
For I belong to you

Blame me, if anyone
For my false hope
For false trust
For false love
I lit the match myself
You only helped me reach higher

I can't go much longer
The flames burn close to your fingertips
Once I run out, then no going back
Find yourself a new release
Because I'm a cigarette.
