I’m a Ship at Sea

I'm a ship at sea
Bobbing up and down to the rhythm of life

I like the feeling of the cool water against me
It makes me feel a sense of serenity

But sometimes the waters aren't still
A storm might rage
Or a big wave may come hurling towards me
They are my struggles and I have to overcome them

When I loose sense of direction I look up to the lighthouse for help
It guides me through the choppy waters

The many ships at sea are my family and friends
They share my travels with me and add so much to my journey

I enjoy when the waves are still
But i can't control the waters, only where I am headed

If I'm thrown in the wrong direction I have to redirect myself
Because In life I'm heading somewhere
I have to keep on going
Keep on striving
