I'm Off

Buy me some cowboy boots
All with the spurs
Take me to death and back
The white flash and the blurs
In my brand new boots
I'll walk a thousand miles
I'll pass a thousand people
I see a thousand smiles
They'll teach me how to sing
And to write a haiku
When the day comes along
I'll teach these things to you
I won't even reach Bangladesh
Until the trip's four months along
But when I do, I'll let you know
And I'll teach you of a song
Listen when you're weary
This song will push your grief along
Never fear, my dearest heart
I'll push you right along
