I’m So Tired

I'm so tired.
Of the death, of the racism, of the fear.
I'm so tired.
Of hearing about bombings, about murders of innocent lives.
I'm so tired.
Of fearing for the lives those I don't know, of fearing for my own.
I'm so tired.
Of the assaults, of the unanswered cases and questions.
I'm so tired.
Of hearing the slurs, the jeers, the poison from those I know.
I'm so tired.
Of being scorned. By my age group, and by older generations.
Instead of hating each other, can't we work to fix this Hell?
Instead of berating us for the life we've been given-
Older generations, parents and grandparents;
can't you help us by fixing what we can't?
I'm so tired.
With how badly everything is going, we'll be back at square one.
Is that what you want?
I'm so tired.
Of the hatred towards other religions. Can't we live in peace?
I'm so tired.
Of waiting for the end of the world, for the end of my life.
I'm so tired.
What's happening to us?
