I'm Sorry, Mom

I'm sorry mom but I don't think you understand
That sleep is my refuge in this place I can barely stand
I'm going crazy,
mentally kicking and screaming
But outwardly I stare off into space,
smiling at the thought of being replaced
You've ignored me when I've pled,
to be anywhere but this bed
Yet you still find it fitting,
to make fun of my restless sitting
Prescriptions go unfilled for months,
therapy sessions skipped
It's almost like you don't care if I'm better,
or maybe you think it's all fake
