Imitation is Sincere

Perhaps she is right
Imitation is sincere
Copycats are truly dear
When they take
If they break
Themselves, we fear.

The copycats are in my head
They are not real, they have no beds.

It's just sock monkeys that I play
Neither night nor day.

Still, they like my socks and shoes.
They always make me pay their dues.
