Immortal Love

As the day creeps to a close once more
I can hear the mocking call of the crows
Over and over their shrill voices sing
For they know what I have done

Their eyes of black saw my sin
Waiting eagerly for my guilt to bring my end
They saw the hands that have trapped me
The voice that sealed my fate

A night so long ago
The man that should not have appeared
A beast boiled beneath his skin
with eyes so blue like ice
And a soul that scorched my own

I knew him not like he knew me
Whispering his thoughts and love
He held me close with fevered hands
But I knew not for how long

My life was close to an end
But he would not relent it death
He claimed I would be with him still
For all eternity we shall spend
An immortal and his treasured soul.
