Impact

The screaming sirens blare in my two ears,
Red lights reflect in the wet empty road.
A loss of sight, cannot hear, filled with fear
Now I feel, my loss of a limb has showed

So? sleep, surrounded, eyes staring at me,
For I'm safe in a warm and comfy bed.
Out, my soul floats, escaping, wanting free.
Released my body, is this in my head?

Might I have died? But what if I am still
Alive? My mind's moving a mile a minute.
Thought, have I gone all crazy, Am I ill.
I've changed, I'm no longer a critic.

Oh no, what has become of my story,
Now that I am trapped, in purgatory.
