Imperfection of Love

I see with your lover
Your boo
Your significant other
Whether for the trust
Or the lust under the covers
She plays my heartstrings
Like a chorus of violins
She wants a diamond ring
To bind the love I find within.
I see you with your baby
Your mistress
A pretty Lady
I slept with all her friends
Can't imagine why she hates me
Forgiven not forgotten
Locked away the desire
Our passion burns to ashes as we feed them to the fire.
I see you with your wife
Your one and only
Your life
Vows you take in vain
Cut like the blade of a knife
The compass of her spirit
Has changed your heart's direction
But you never give it up
Because you love the imperfection.
