In a Fleeting Moment

In a fleeting moment, he's gone
head submerged,
euphoric state,
reluctance shreds to a distant memory.
In a fleeting moment, he forgets
evocative isolation
comfortable in nonexistent comfort
he thinks to himself,
there is nothing better than something out of nothing.
In a fleeting moment, he ignores
strangled cries around him
he walks, smiling
to a zenith of self destruction.
In a fleeting moment, he chooses
the soft whispers of drugs
over crimson stained words
of the ones who stuck around long enough to see.
In a fleeting moment, he's gone
head submerged
into a grave
Was it worth the euphoric state?
