In Black Sheets

The Bedouin reminds me of you:
Deserts,
tents,
mountains.
The desire to examine
the density of sand.

I'm not one
to sleep in simplicity, but
your wilderness,
it beckons me.

In black tents and
in echoing caves,
I'll dream in geography.
I'll dream in topography-
design a mountain range
from me
to you.

What became of you?
Oh, what became of you?
