In Isolation

By

I have been in isolation
Since the school cancelation
Now teaching art online
Most likely until summertime

This COVID-19 virus
Has been such a crisis
People are told to stay home
And talk to family and friends by phone

Things are running low at the store
And more deliveries door to door
Social distancing is the key
Stay at least six feet away from me

Washing your hands thoroughly
While counting to twenty more slowly
Don’t forget to use Lysol wipes to clean
Make these things your new routine

The hard part is staying busy
It’s okay to make things silly
Remember that things will be okay
Just take things day by day
