In My Darkest Days

In my darkest days, it was you who'd pick me up,
You who'd make me laugh,
You who'd brighten them again.

It'd be you who said, "Look on the bright side",
And when I couldn't find one, you'd make it.

You were my rock, my sun in the deepest pit of my heart.
My star to guide me to happiness.
The person who held on tight when I wanted to let go, to give up.

But now... you dropped me.

You make me mad, you are what causes the storm clouds over my head.
You don't bring a bright side, you welcome the dark.

My rock crumbled,
My sun finally set,
My star combusted,
You let me go...
You gave up on me.

So now here we are once again.
No one to pull me out this time.
I'm stuck here for eternity,
In my darkest days.
