In My Room – Quarantined

In My Room - Quarantined

Four walls; what I see.
Don’t feel sorry; it’s just me.
The view; a lake and the sky.
Also, people walking by.
Not all bad. I get to eat.
Gaining weight, not a treat.
Hurry, Lord and let me out.
Or, I’ll be big as a rhino snout,
You can tell I am bored,
Not making too much sense.
So, eating is my real defense.
I can paint, and I can write.
Eating, writing; each a delight
Another thing to sacrifice.
Wearing a mask! Oh, how nice.
Three more days. This will end.
I’ll be free and on the mend.
