In the Clutches of Anxiety

My stomach hurts,
My head is spinning,
No food this week,
Or tons of binging,
I can't think straight,
I'm so stressed out,
I'll bottle it up,
And pout or shout,
These dark dark demons,
Follow me everywhere,
Night and day,
Freedom is rare,
No light in sight,
It's pitch black here,
No energy to fight,
A recurring fear,
Everywhere I turn,
Snarling faces appear,
Watching and waiting,
Until I'm near,
The brink of panic,
No air to breathe,
My chest hurts,
Darkness seethes,
I spiral down,
Back into the abyss,
Where my past awaits,
With its cold kiss.
