In the Eyes of Hyacinth

Whenever the darkness surrounds you,
little flower,
don’t forget how the sun feels against
your beautiful, worn out petals.

Whenever the sun runs you dry,
don’t forget how oceans of water
revives your roots once upon a time.

Whenever oceans have drowned and spit
you out like a waste,
uplift yourself, little flower.

Even if you can’t support the weight of
your suffering, your pain, your insecurities
learn to forgive yourself...
Learn to forgive yourself of the burdens and all
the wrongdoing.
Because even if you can’t,
I’ll love you the same.

I’ll care for you, I’ll tend to you.
I’ll be your sun, I’ll be your water.

Forever but Never Always,
Past Self
