In the Heart of Darkness
[T]here are so much more
In the Heart of Man:
Love, Hope, Spirit; which protest
The vast empire of the universe:
In Darkness there will be light.
We who Stand against Time, "God,"
The manifold fathoms of space
Cannot, for one dying breath
Let go of our humanity,
For the question of our loneliness
Has yet to be answered.
Are we alone?
Are we alone to hold our selves
Against what Unknowns may be
As such brief embers wrought
In the little furnace of earth?
Oh earth, how could I
