In the Limbo of a Living Death

By

My truth slams like crashing waves.
Stuck in a haze.
Not sleeping adds to the way I behave.
Springing forward in a daze.

Drifting in and out of consciousness.
My head bobs up and down, not listening.
Sweat pooling down my face, just a mess.
Crestfallen, my eyes are glistening.

Paralyzed, drowning in the darkness.
Not able to catch my breath.
Guilt hanging like a millstone, I confess.
In the limbo of a living death.
