In the valley of the dead...
copyright by monique lylah woodhams

In the valley of the dead you can't hear them screaming you only hear whispers like the wind

There's no entertainment no love no revenge no ever after...

In the valley of the dead there's no time at all

In the valley of the dead there's only the ravings of souls who still haven't learned; only the whispers of spirits that wander searching...yearning for something more

And the dead they cry, in a whisper that gnaws at the soul

"Wake me up and show me heaven lest I wander all my life in the valley in the darkness filled with fear without life;
Always yearning always searching for solace in this never ending dark...in a place of ancient where there's no time at all"

So I called to the darkness seeking harmony within; Icy cold and unmoving it refuses to bend
3 o'clock in the morning the tower clock has not moved at all
for in the valley of the dead there's no time at all...
yes in the valley of the dead there's no time at all...

And the dead they cry like a whisper gnawing at your soul

"Oh won't you bring me to the light of understanding; oh won't you wake me up so I don't wander all my life without hope without companions fear filled and yearning for solace where there is none at all"

In the valley of the dead there's no time at all
Yes in the valley of the dead there's no time at all
