In This Cities Dying Breath

I have lived in this metropolis for so long
But like all things good, they tend to go wrong
Whether it is time always being spent apart
The space inbetwixt us has stumbled too far
But in this city's dying breath
I somehow manage to wish you the best
When I gave my all I got nothing in return
Now I'm leaving harbor, in the future we may adjourn
Whether I am content living in an entire new city
It puzzles me, for I fear the same outcome repeating
A fugitive at heart, but a loner to the core
Till death take us apart; here's hoping it takes me home...
