Incomplete Feelings

The pain fades away,
Little by little.
Then you turn numb,
You can't feel a thing.

Happy, nor sad.
Angry, nor mad.

You can't feel the tears,
As you've grown accustomed to their touch.
You can't feel the rush,
Or the sweet, soft mush.

Because we're numb,
As dull as a board.
Useless to humanity,
Our purpose lost in this world.
