I was born in your lap.
I grew up sipping your pap.
I learned justice from your lecture.
I earned harmony from your culture.
I had a childhood full of happiness.
I have a youth full of sadness.
I was taught the past you had of fain.
I studied the present you have of pain.
I saw your citizens in unity.
I see you people in incuncinnity.
I missed the days of trust without horror.
I got the days of fear with terror.
I dream to fly from this affliction.
I need a landing on a shore of affection.
I wish I had a peaceful life.
I want freedom without strife.
