INERT BUT ALIVE
I woke up today not knowing where I was;
time and space were noting but oblivion.
I jumped up and scanned the space looking for anything recognizably mine;
but I was naked.
I stepped down from where I slept and into glass;
my legs were shaking.
I walked over to what appeared to be a door
and I knocked;
although I was the one inside.
I reached out to open it but before I could...
I woke today
now knowing where I am.
space and time still oblivious;
like an unfavorable friend.
spit out of the wicked door;
I found my self on the shattered floor.
And tomorrow it'll happen again.
