Inevitable

Winter fades and the barren trees
Begin to come alive once again.
Spring arrives and flowers bloom,
Giving new life to the world.
Summer, the sun shines brightly
Illuminating all that was lost to
Winter's spell.
But Fall, when the leaves descend
From the trees like babes taking their first steps
Is the precursor to inevitable winter,
Which in turn is the precursor to
Inevitable Spring.
