Infinity For Us

The warmth captivates our faces,
With our pearls gleaming out.

The lovely rhythms of music are hardly perceived,
Our minds focused on what we all refuse to speak.
With every measure of notes that pound through our ears,
Our hearts meet the same beat.

In fear of our own feelings,
We dismiss the idea of verbalizing this moment.
We are too fearful that we could ruin this,
Too afraid of losing this.

The line of cars is pervasive,
And yet we all feel united.
Consolidated with one another,
A machine ultimately finalized.

The wind strikes us with a graceful, immense force,
Leaving us at just the same pace it collided.
Our eyes move to each others faces in a charming matter,
Leaving remembrance behind.

The stones impact the vehicles as they rolled back into the long, narrow driveway,
Our minds settling to the present.
We calm our dauntless ideas,
Retreat into our own hearts.

And then it was gone.
