I miss my heart which you stole
And never returned,
The never ending supply of influence
That I turned to,
The whispers in my ear
When I lost my voice,
The lifeline that you promised you’d be
But wasn’t.
I don’t want you back,
I only want you back in front of me,
Standing their with my life support
In your hand.
I want my heart back,
So that I can feel the pain you caused when you shattered it,
I want to piece it back together
And break it all over again.
Because you may think that it’s easier
To live without having to suffer,
But how could I not long
To endure suffering,
When without it I know I won’t be living,
Merely surviving.
