Inner Speech in Outer Space

By

I cannot understand my own thoughts.
They are my 9th grade foreign language class’ homework. They are static behind my eyes and above my jaw.

But in other universes?
My brain speech is carved onto the sidewalks.

Only once in this universe was the sidewalk speech questions .A little boy dressed in blue asked his father, “Dad? Why do our sidewalks always have these words on them?”
And the father said, “That’s just the way it is son.”

Somewhere, in some other universe, my thoughts are an innate, unquestioned occurrence in nature. So I supposed I will allow them to stay in my brain for another day.
