Innocent Beginnings

Out of the black and into the blue
Here we are ruled under you
We can love, we can touch
Being controlled is just to much
As we look through the ages
Why can't we see the written pages
I guess we're blind, we think we're free
They've pulled the shades on you and me
I look to the stars and the heavens above
Knowing I'll see the morning dove
The dove will take me high in the sky
Just to drop me to watch me die
It don't matter to me
To be laid in my grave is where I want to be
I may get the wings, I may get the horns
Tell me in the Lords name
Where was I before I was born
