Insane Inside

A strange indifference, a soul in chains
At a glance is not seen.
Laughter shields uncertainty.
I'm hiding.
Afraid to let the feelings show.
The voices are growing unbearable,
The diminutive demons pulling my brain apart.
They call me insane,
Are they right?
I don't feel deranged,
But there's something wrong
Maybe the nurses are right
The feelings keep coming back,
I'm crazy.
Erratic. Demented. Distraught.
Screaming doesn't help the voices.
They whisper sweet escapes in my ears.
I'm insane.
Don't leave me alone voices.
